About Me
Hi and thank you for taking time out to visit, it's much appreciated.
I am a freelance photographer now based in Carmarthenshire, Wales where I live with my ever tolerant wife, two looney cocker spaniels plus our new arrival Dylan the whippet
I first picked up a camera many moons ago and it was a Pentax ME Super SLR and came with a zoom lens, this was the start of my journey into photography.Photography is a great escape for some one like me who is somewhat introvert and often happier on my own in the countryside, by the side of a river or around wildlife and these all offer great photographic opportunities
Ever since I first picked up my first digital camera a Nikon D70 I've been amazed at the quality and feel of the images you can get from them. As the cameras developed from those early ones so my passion for photography has grown, that feeling you get when someone says wow, I love that image or how on earth did you get it, where were you or something similar.
I feel that photography is all about reflecting a mood, emotion or story, and that my images should communicate this to the viewer at all times. Be that image a beautiful landscape, amazing wildlife, a street scene or some complete abstract it should always tell a story or make you ask a question
I have for the last few years been using Fuji cameras and lenses, ever since I came back from four days in Paris carrying my Nikon kit around and ending up feeling like Quasimodo. I love the way the Fuji cameras feel in the hand and the colours and textures that they bring out in the images is just wonderful. I currently use a Fuji X-T2 and X-H1 and a selection of both prime and zoom Fuji lenses
